Delete your account
You can delete your VertragCheck account yourself at any time.
How
- Sign in to the app – in the browser at app.vertragcheck.de or in the app on your phone.
- Open Profile and tap Delete account at the bottom.
- Enter your password to confirm and tap Delete account permanently.
You are signed out afterwards. Deletion cannot be undone.
What is deleted
Deleted right away: your profile (name, e-mail address, phone number, password, profile picture), all your contracts with their versions and your corrections, all uploaded documents and your notifications. The copies our extraction service made for the automatic reading are deleted shortly afterwards. An active subscription is cancelled immediately.
What we have to keep
If you paid for a subscription, German law requires us to keep the payment records for 10 years (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB). For that we keep your name and e-mail address, locked; they are used for nothing else and deleted automatically when the period ends.
You can no longer sign in?
Write to the address in the imprint. We delete the account for you once we have checked that it is yours.
